Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to register to attend Open Studio?
No, just come on in! Open Studio is a walk in opportunity for all ages (unless otherwise specifically stated) to come in and create something on your own schedule. We offer a large variety of projects and price points for every budget. Please Note:  We do CLOSE THE DOORS 30 minutes BEFORE the final hour listed.

Do you have everything in stock at Open Studio?
We try very hard to keep items in stock at the studio. However, many time we do sell out or the variety of sizes will not be available. If you know ahead of time what you want to create, contact us to ensure its onsite waiting for you!

Do I need to pre-register for specific classes and workshops? Yes, we require registration ahead of time for all our specific workshops & classes. You can use our safe and secure online checkout ticket system located at the bottom page of each class listing to pay for your class. OR, feel free to walk in and pay ahead of time during open studio/office hours! If you have special circumstance, and can not use our online portal, please contact us so we can help.

How long is a single Class?
Classes are typically 2-3 hours long depending on the art project with plenty of breaks. Please read description for time frames and information directly on the event registration.

In the future we will have classes that are part of a series and those time frames maybe different.

What do I wear?

We provide aprons, but remember paint splatters, spills can happen, and glue can get messy! The paint is acrylic based and often difficult if not impossible to get out of clothing. Keep this in mind when dressing for the class. Consider short sleeves and leave your more expensive clothing safe at home.

Where do I park?
Parking is extremely limited. Please allow time to find a place to leave your car. View our Location and Parking page for more information. Consider carpooling with your friends!

What time do I arrive for a class?
Plan to arrive 10 minutes early to settle in, get your aprons and paint, and simply enjoy the studio. PARKING CAN TAKE TIME & SEATING IS FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE.

If you’re a few minutes late, the staff will help you catch up. If you’re more than 30 minutes late, you’ll need to reschedule, subject to our Cancellation Policy.

What is your cancellation policy?
Please review our Cancellation Policy to understand how refunds and credits work.

If I come with a group, can we all sit together?
Seating is FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. If you have a large party please show up early or let us know in advance. We typically can make sure your whole party stays together.

Can I bring my own alcohol beverages to the class?
Sorry…outside beverages are not allowed. The City of Rincon and Effingham County do not allow or offer permits for BYOB. We are located in a dry county.

There are great restaurants right near our studio to grab a drink before and after the event.

Can I bring food to the studio?
Yes…you are welcome to bring light refreshments to the studio. We also have the “SNACK SHACK” onsite offering a variety of soft drinks, chips, candy, and other snacks to purchase.

Are children welcome?
YES! All kids are welcome at our Open Studio events unless otherwise stated Adults only. We also have children classes for all ages – even our youngest artists, parent night out events, art education programs, string art workshops, and holiday/summer camps!

For our Adult art events, we start at ages 13 accompanied by a registered adult, and open to anyone over 18 years old.
